Ultimate Satisfaction at Toodz House

This weekend, my friends and I were hunting for cozy restaurant or cafe to go for chilling. Feeling bored with Senopati and trying to find something new in South Jakarta, we then had our ‘little research’ with the help of uncle Google. Call it coincidence, surprisingly both of us found Toodz House and were attracted to give it a try. So here we were, ready for another tummy prosperity moment!

Located at Cipete, Toodz House looked like a small yet homey coffee shop. Every corner was decorated with anything related to coffee, starting from the coffee beans, the coffee makers, until the coffee cups. For me, the interior had shown that simplicity could be the best sophistication.

Additionally, the waiters and waitresses were very friendly. The place was quite crowded at the time we arrived, so almost all tables were occupied. However, I was really pleased with the fast response of the waiters and waitresses as they immediately moved the position of one of the tables there so that the 6 of us could fit in it.

Place checked, service checked, then what’s next? Surely the main actor, FOODS!

Carbonara Rice (IDR 34k)

As I was in the mood for something creamy, my choice went to this Carbonara Rice. I loved the presentation of this dish uber much because it just looked so creamy as the carbonara sauce fully covered the rice! Could you guess what happened when it came to the tasting part? I swore I was not exaggerating things, but this dish was indeed so impressive! The chicken katsu was crispy, not greasy, and so tender! The carbonara sauce and mushroom toppings were generously given and tasted exceptional. For me, this Carbonara Rice served you everything you expected from an adorable dish. Portion was huge, all elements were cooked perfectly, taste was great, and not to forget, price was affordable.

Kahlua Mocha (IDR 36k)

Toodz House actually provided a long list of beverages on their menu. For sure, most of them were coffee-based. I tried to find something refreshing and unique, which made me then choose this Kahlua Mocha. You could have this drink mixed with coffee, or you could have it as non-coffee beverage as well if you desired. Mine was the coffee-based one since I wanted to try their coffee. So basically my Kahlua Mocha was the combination of coffee, milk, chocolate, and a light touch of Kahlua blended together. The appearance might look just okay, but the taste was dazzling! If you were in the mood for blended coffee, this was surely a must-try!

Iced Cafe Mocha (IDR 33k)

If you recognized, there was a slight oddity with this Cafe Mocha. Instead of being topped with milk froth, chocolate powder and chocolate sauce, it came with milk froth, chocolate powder and peppermint leaves. So this was actually iced Cafe Mocha with wrong garnish as the barista wrongly decorated it. However, taste definitely could not lie. As the coffee was indeed great, any combination made with it as the base, turned to be great. It gave the ideal balance between the sweetness and the acidity level.

Overall, I highly recommend Toodz House, not only for the coffee lovers, but also for those who simply want to find great place for chilling. As I said before, it provides the complete package that every consumers desire. One more great news, the price shown on the menu is already the final one, meaning there is no additional tax or service charge! What else can you ask for?
