Sweet-Tooth Hangover at Paul

If I may say, Paul is probably one of the most chic and elegant places to go for desserts. Not only comfy, the venue looks so luxurious as well, giving you the high-class atmosphere as if you’re chilling in an expensive café in Europe. Another thing that is so pleasant for me is they totally separate the smoking area with the non-smoking one as the first is located outdoor, while the latter one is indoor.

The service delivered by the waiters and waitresses does reflect the exclusivity shown by the venue. They serve the guest professionally and enthusiastically even since the first time you enter the restaurant. Moreover, they’re highly responsive toward any request coming from the guest.

As Paul is really famous for their cakes, I surely didn’t want to miss the chance when I could visit Paul with some of my friends. We ordered some of their cakes and shared them. As always, that’s the beauty of having many friends. You can share everything, including fats (and happiness definitely)! :p

Éclair Aux Framboises (IDR 50k)

This one was basically éclair with the filling of raspberries and whipped cream. The presentation was simple yet beautiful. Though I was quite disappointed as the filling was actually whipped cream instead of vanilla cream as I expected before, fortunately the éclair itself had pretty good texture as it was moist and chewy. The raspberries were also fresh though they’re quite sour.

Moelleux Multi Fruits (IDR 70k)

Serving vanilla sponge cake with the toppings of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries; this cake was definitely a refreshing one! The taste was lovely as the toppings were so rich and the fluffy sweet sponge cake came as the perfect base for them.

Millefeuille Chocolat (IDR 50k)

For any chocolate lover, this was surely an irresistible temptation. Every single element of this cake would certainly fulfill your chocolate craving. Flaky pastry topped with dark chocolate, combined with creamy chocolate filling; who on earth is able to say no?

Millefeuille Fraises (IDR 50k)

If the previous millefeuille’s able to give heavenly taste for the chocolate enthusiast, then this one would be the faultless choice for both strawberry fanatic as well as those who love the blend of flavors. The sweet vanilla cream filling was impeccably balanced by the fresh and sour strawberries. The variations of flavors would make you enjoy the cake until the very last spoon.

Overall, Paul offered you a complete package of taste-bud satisfying taste, comfy and exclusive place, as well as warm and pleasant service. However, I highly recommend you to come with several people so you can share the cake as the portion is quite big to be finished by one person. Otherwise, you might have to prepare for sweet-tooth hangover :p
